Disaster Recovery Drills are often performed to check the preparedness to handle disasters. 

This document discusses the DR Drills scenarios and how to handle them from MySQL replication Point of View. 

There are 4 different kind of DR scenarios that we will consider here:


a. Controlled/Maintenance:

        i. Switch-over

        ii. Switch-back


b. Failure Simulation:

        i. Failover

        ii. Fall-back
