Node 4 Migration and Recommission on Oracle Big Data Appliance V4.11 and Higher (Doc ID 2536001.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.11.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

This note provides the details to migrate Node 4 of the cluster and then recommission Node 4. These steps would be used if the roles on Node 4 are migrated to newer hardware.  It is not possible for Node 4 recommission to follow Node 4 migration if Node 4 has failed.  In that case Node 4 needs to be reimaged and reprovisioned back into the cluster.

Note that Node 4 refers to the node with the Node 4 role.
