This document describes hot clone steps where PDB is part of same CDB and other example shows PDB present on remote CDB.

Make sure no DML is happening when clone is in progress. if DML are in progress then this is not valid for you.

It is possible to perform hot clone when DML are in progress and also when local undo used

12.1.0.2 => Hot clone is possible when no DML are in progress

12.2.0.1 => Onward it is possible to perform hot clone when DML are in progress when local undo used.
