(Doc ID 2541334.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2019
Applies to:PL/SQL - Version 184.108.40.206 and later
Generic (Platform Independent)
There is a DIFFERENCE in OS (Unix) system calls between Oracle version 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 for PL/SQL call each exception no_data_found causes a single read of oraru.msb file. The impact of this is higher cpu consumption and excessive locks on file system level.
In 12.2 version, many unix "read" calls are being used and it is impacting the performance. 11g does not have this problem and performance is good.
Upgraded to 12.2 from 11g.
