Creating Standby DB by RMAN ACTIVE DUPLICATE fails with ORA-1547 ORA-1194 RMAN-6054 (Doc ID 2550708.1)

Database Name: ORCL
Tablespace Name: D_STANDAND
Disk Group Name: +DATA and all sub-directories
Directory Name: /data/ and all sub-directories

When attempting to create a standby database using RMAN active duplication, the following error occurs:

  

 

Note the current archivelog for at the time of failure is sequence 68494 for thread 1 and 41002 for thread 2.    RMAN needing sequence 1018 for thread 1 means it is needing  for a very old sequence to complete recovery.
