Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.13.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

Migrating Oracle Linux 6 (OL6) to Oracle Linux 7 (OL7) using the instructions in the BDA 4.13 Owner's Guide section: 10.8 Migrating from Oracle Linux 6 to Oracle Linux 7, fails to boot into OL7 after successfully running bdareimagenode.sh. In this case after reboot the OS remains at OL6.

Checking the bdareimagenode.sh script output file /tmp/bdareimagenode-prepare-usb.out, shows that everything completed successfully.
