Symptoms
The error "ORA-28365: wallet is not open" is received when trying to perform various operations, such as creating pluggable databases, creating encrypted tablespaces, querying encrypted data, starting up the database, or recovering the database.
Changes
The following changes are associated with this error:
- Opened a new connection to the database host machine (using SSH, for example).
- Set environment variables for the OS session.
- Opened a new connection to the database server using sqlplus.
- The database may also have been restarted.
