Goal
While upgrade database to 12.2.0.1 using DBUA or manual upgrade is taking long to complete and need recommendations on all possible ways to reduce the upgrade time.
It was observed in few test upgrades the maximum time (around 3 hrs or more ) is being taken around large tables wri$_optstat_synopsis$ and wri$_optstat_synopsis_head$.

If the database is configured with PARTITIONED tables with INCREMENTAL STATS, then WRI$_OPTSTAT_SYNOPSIS_HEAD$ and WRI$_OPTSTAT_SYNOPSIS$ will be populated when gather stats is being run.
