Symptoms

After upgrade to BDA 4.13/CDH 5.15.1 from BDA 4.5/CDH 5.7.0 (where two separate upgrades were done, one from 4.5 to 4.9 and then one from 4.9 to 4.13, with one upgrade immediately following the other)  logging into the Cloudera Manager(CM) WebUIs for yarn (ResourceManager Web UI or HistoryServer Web UI), hdfs (NameNode Web UI) and/or hive (HiveServer2 WebUI) fails with:

HTTP ERROR 403
Problem accessing / cluster Reason:

GSSException: Defective token detected (Mechanism level: GSSHeader did not find the right tag)

Changes

Upgrade to BDA 4.13/CDH 5.15.1 from BDA 4.5/CDH 5.7.0 via a two step process of upgrade from 4.5 to 4.9 and then 4.9 to 4.13. Where one upgrade immediately followed the other.
