Goal

For a  table with 258 columns to enable  supplemental logging  for change data capture implementation

1. Could all 258 columns be part of a "single" supplemental log group?
eg: Will ALTER TABLE <TABLE_NAME> ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG DATA (ALL) COLUMNS; create a single supplemental log group containing all 258 columns.

2. Is there is a limit of number of columns in a table level supplemental log group?

3. Will there be any performance or chaining issues if we split 258 columns in 9 supplemental log groups containing 30 columns or less each.
