Symptoms


Using Database Gateway for DRDA (DG4DRDA), you create a table from DB2 to Oracle via gateway.

create table <table_name> as select * from <db_table>@<dblink> WHERE 1=2;

The DB2 table contains columns of datatype TIMESTAMP.  These are converted to CHAR in the new table in the Oracle DB
