CREATE TABLE ... AS SELECT (CTAS) Fails with ORA-3113 / ORA-7445[LdiDateToLDX()+37] (Doc ID 2571665.1)

When run as any user other than AS SYSDBA, CREATE TABLE ... AS SELECT (CTAS) fails with the following error in SQL*Plus:

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

The associated error in the alert log is:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [LdiDateToLDX()+37] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0xF] [PC:0x4E687E5] [Address not mapped to object] []


The associated incident trace file shows this Current SQL Statement:

BEGIN dbms_stats.postprocess_stats(:owner, :tabname, :partname, :subpartname, 6, :rawstats, :selmap, :clist); END;
