A Query Fails with an ORA-7445[kutyxtt_traverse_type()+7514] Error in the Alert Log (Doc ID 2576159.1)

Symptoms

A query fails with the following error in the alert log:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kutyxtt_traverse_type()+7514] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF] [PC:0xF0D904A] [Address not mapped to object] []
