ZDLRA: Patching Step 2 failing with "ERROR: There are programs running" (Doc ID 2585852.1)

For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example to describe the procedure:

ZDLRA BASE: /opt/oracle.RecoveryAppliance
RDBMS_HOME: /u01/app/oracle/product/

NOTE: Your ZDLRA or RDBMS homes may be different.
NOTE: The server name is included to denote that this must be done on node 1 of the ZDLRA.



During the Patching of  ZDLRA,  the Step 2 is failing with the following error :

ERROR: There are programs running.

Please shut them down before proceeding.

at /u01/app/oracle/product/ line 3618.
