Retrieving Audit Setting Using AVDF Fails With 'Failed to connect to DB' Error (Doc ID 2589826.1)

Symptoms

After implementing Audit policy on the Secured Target database using AVDF getting following error while retrieving the audit settings.

'Failed to connect to DB'

 1. In the tnsnames.ora (located under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin) on the Audit Vault Server create a TNS Alias (as "oracle" user) to the Secured Target 
 2. Try to connect to the Secured Target (from Audit Vault server using SQL*Plus) using the TNS Alias created in Step#1
 3. If the connection is Successful modify the Connection String for the Secured Target in Audit Vault UI and update same as what's added in Step#1
