Creating Index In 12.2 Causes ORA-904 (Doc ID 2602863.1)

Symptoms

* Unable to create/use objects from another connected user after setting CURRENT_SCHEMA

* This was working pre 12.2

SQL> alter session set current_schema=SCHEMA_USER2;

Session altered.

SQL>
SQL> create index branch_FncIdx on branch(NewFunction(instance_id, aba_number)); ---------->>>>>>> failing, but branch table and newfunction are present in schema SCHEMA_USER2
create index branch_FncIdx on branch(NewFunction(instance_id, aba_number))

ORA-00904: "NEWFUNCTION": invalid identifier

SQL> select sys_context('USERENV', 'CURRENT_SCHEMA') from dual;

Changes

Upgrade to 12.2 OR new 12.2 database
