Symptoms
After applying PSU 11.2.0.4.190115 or higher, or upgrading the database to 12.1.0.2 / 12.2.0.1, indexing zipped files with the AUTO_FILTER now hangs.
This issue occurred on 11.2.0.4 and was resolved by the following patch:
Patch 18121298: OIT - CTX_DDL.SYNC_INDEX HANG AFTER APPLIED FIX FOR BUG:17762528 ON 11.2.0.4
Now the same issue is occurring again.
