Symptoms

In a 12.2 database, after changing the COMPATIBLE parameter from 11.2.0.4 to 12.2.0.1, an UPDATE statement on a table with ROW STORE COMPRESS ADVANCED compression is almost twice as slow as before the change.

Changes

 The COMPATIBLE parameter was changed from 11.2.0.4 to 12.2.0.1 in a 12.2.0.1 database.
