Data Nodes Already Added To Cluster Via MySQL Cluster Manager (MCM) But Still Not Associated To A NodeGroup (Doc ID 2610986.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2020

Applies to:

MySQL Cluster - Version 7.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When the official procedure for adding a Data node via MySQL Cluster Manager (MCM) is not followed from <Note 2003828.1>, or when you have already started the Data nodes (ndbd/ndbmtd) with --initial option, you may get into a state where you can see the new Data nodes were added but not yet associated to a NodeGroup. In this situation, you will need to create manually the NodeGroup.

The procedure to do so can be found below, which will basically follow from step #6 onward of Doc ID 1023616.1.
