This document provides instructions on how to upgrade an Oracle Big Data Appliance CDH cluster to Oracle Big Data Appliance V5.1.0.

Both OL6 and OL7 clusters can upgrade to V5.1.0 from BDA V4.12, V4.13 or V4.14.  When upgrading to V5.1.0 only non-rolling upgrade is supported.

For the upgrade path to BDA V5.1.0, follow: Upgrade Path to Get from Older Versions of BDA Mammoth to BDA Mammoth 4.14.0 (Doc ID 2566641.1), to get to BDA 4.12/4.13/4.14 on OL6 or OL7 and then upgrade to 5.1.0.
