Memory Fault (coredump) Error When Attempting To Use Expdp Or Impdp With No Parameters (Doc ID 2624478.1)

Symptoms

You are attempting to invoke Data Pump export (expdp) or import (impdp) without using any parameters or arguments.

During the login when invoking Data Pump,  you only enter the username and hit <ENTER> to be prompted for the password and the following error occurs:

EXAMPLE:

Export: Release 12.1.0.2.0 - Production on Thu Nov 21 16:44:07 2019

Memory fault(coredump)

 

There are no trace files or errors in the alertlog, it just fails
