This document explains how the new 10g Datapump Export and Import operations are manageable through the datapump jobs and attached client sessions.

Scope

For DBAs who need to

  * track the progress of the export and import operations
  * eventually have to abort them
  * have to suspend them due to a short time-window
  * have to resume these interrupted operations later
