NOTE: In the images and/or the document content below, the user information and environment data used represents fictitious data from the Oracle sample schema(s), Public Documentation delivered with an Oracle database product or other training material. Any similarity to actual environments, actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example to describe the procedure:

Pluggable Database Names:  SOURCE_PDB, TEST_PDB,

Tablespace Name:  TEST_TBS

Table Name:  TEST_TABLE

Directory Name:  /u02/app/oracle/oradata/ORCL/ and all subdirectories

A PDB containing encrypted tablespaces can be successfully cloned and opened at the primary and active dataguard standby site without any errors.

However, a select of a table in the encrypted tablespaces will fail with ORA-28304 at Standby site. Oracle RAC(Real Application Clusters) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM) can be excluded from a condition to see this symptom.
