Symptoms

UTL_FILE.FOPEN is throwing ORA-00972 when directory path exceeds more than 30 byte after applying 12.2.0.1.191015 (30138470) with compatible='11.2.0'.
Same code is working fine if we use compatible='12.2.0' or directory object.

 

Changes

 Upgraded to 12.2.0.1.191015
