PDB_OS_CREDENTIAL Doesn't Work With External Table Preprocessor (Doc ID 2639900.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 09, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The PDB_OS_CREDENTIAL parameter is not working as expected. Even after setting this parameter, the Oracle user is being used.

exec dbms_credential.create_credential(credential_name=>'PDB_USER', username=>'<username>', password='<password>');
alter session set container=<pdb>;
alter system set pdb_os_credential=PDB_USER scope=spfile;

But the pre-processor script still runs as oracle user.
