MEB 8.0 fails with ERROR: MySQL Query 'LOCK INSTANCE FOR BACKUP': 1227, Access Denied (Doc ID 2652990.1)

Symptoms

When trying to perform a backup from a MySQL Server instance using MEB 8.0, the attempt fails complaining about access denied with the following error:

ERROR: MySQL query 'LOCK INSTANCE FOR BACKUP': 1227, Access denied; you need (at least one of) the BACKUP_ADMIN privilege(s) for this operation



Changes

 The issue is presented after upgrade from MEB 8.0.15 or older
