InnoDB Cluster Point In Time Recovery without Losing Production Applications (Doc ID 2654158.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2021

Applies to:

MySQL Server - Version 8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Scenario is that important data has been deleted from an InnoDB Cluster and needs to be returned e.g. money transactions.
However, since it is also an important production cluster, the preferred downtime is zero, rather than any maintenance window.

Do a point-in-time-recovery on an active, production InnoDB Cluster to restore lost data.
There is to be minimal downtime, preferably zero, but allow the nodes to be restored to the previous night's backup of the data.
