Last updated on APRIL 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Database Appliance Software - Version 2.10.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Attempting to prepare the ODA for production, some changes were made now the ODA is not working.

The ODA had been working previously for months using the same version.

The ODA fails to plumb network after reimage of appliance.

Note: This problem is independent of:
  • Hardware Type
  • Platform (ODAVP or Bare Metal)
     or
  • ODA Release (2.x up to 19.x)

"...I downloaded the ISO p#####_#####_Linux-x86-64.zip" and reimaged the appliance.

When I attempt to plumb the network using command:

    odacli configure-firstnet

I get error:

".....Select the interface to configure the network () [btbond1]:

     ERROR: Invalid Interface name..."

Running the validate network command also fails with the following message

Checking the Network the command is failing with the following message

     "... DCS-10002: Invalid hardware platform..."

Changes

Getting ready for production and I did two things.

"...I factory reset ILOM..."

   then

"...I reimaged the unit with the same ISO I used to reimage my other unit whish is X8-2-HA
after the reimage is when I cannot plumb network..."
