opatch util cleanup Version and , removes OS Directories /bin, /lib, ... (Doc ID 2660936.1)

When using Opatch Utility version / / to perform cleanup of Oracle Home , it tries to delete all the files including root directory .


command behavior explained :

On Unix :

 No matter from where you run "opatch util cleanup" , it will try to delete all the files / directory under root if the oracle user has permission .


On windows :

current_working_directory will be affected if the windows OS user has the access to delete the files , it will delete else , it fails with the java errors and exits .

If you run it as administrator , then there are chances that it might delete all the files from current_working_directory .
