Customer Problem Description

Problem Summary
account_lockout policy gets enabled when upgrading from ILOM FW 4.x to 5.x

Problem Description
Exadata Storage SW releases and introduce ILOM 5.x upgrade, in which a new feature "account_lockout policy" is enabled.

Modify Password Policy Restrictions and Account Locking Properties for Local Users


This has caused some confusion and has generated cases as it is a behavior change over previous releases

Error Codes

ILOM SP logs show user attempting to log in w/o correct password on ILOM 5.x

o. After 12 attempts the account will be locked

ILOM 5.x Issue/Installation Upgrading Patching


 Upgrading SysFW from ILOM 4.x to 5.x
