Symptoms

Oracle Database Gateway for Teradata 12.2 and Oracle RDBMS 12.1, going to Teradata database 16 getting a new error message when using a view that has a synonym that uses a database link to the Teradata database.

Error did not occur on 12.1 gateway with same code, and configuration

ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Oracle][ODBC Teradata Client driver][Teradata]Syntax error, expected something like a name or a Unicode delimited identifier between '@' and '|'. {42000,NativeErr = -3707}
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from DBLINK
