Goal
After updating the parameter "processes" as 2000, the parameter "sessions" is updated itself as 3040.
To set the SESSIONS parameter as 3056 by 'alter system set sessions=3056 scope = spfile; '
However, the parameter become 3072 after restart
1. How to update the SESSIONS parameter with preferred value?
2. Why the SESSIONS parameter will be updated as another value?
3. The session value 3056 is derived based on 2000 in 11g, why it derived as 3040 by itself?
