How to invoke an Informix user function via the dg4ifmx gateway (Doc ID 2682143.1)

Goal

We successfully connected an Oracle 12.2 Database with Informix using the  dg4ifmx Gateway
However we cannot find a way to invoke user functions that are defined on informix

When attempting to invoke an Informix function it  results in "invalid identifier" error

How do we invoke an Informix function using the dg4ifmx gateway ?
