11.2 Installation Results in Error 'There was an error trying to initialize the HPI library.........Could not create the Java virtual machine.' (Doc ID 2693318.1)

Symptoms

 While installing Oracle 11.2.0.4, following error is faced -

Checking Temp space: must be greater than 120 MB. Actual 4024 MB Passed
Checking swap space: must be greater than 150 MB. Actual 8191 MB Passed
Preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer from /tmp/OraInstall2020-07-16_12-53-09PM. Please wait ...There was an error trying to initialize the HPI library.
Please check your installation, HotSpot does not work correctly
when installed in the JDK 1.2 Linux Production Release, or
with any JDK 1.1.x release.
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
