Applied Column of V$archived_log on Standby is Not Updated

Symptoms
The applied column of v$archived_log in the standby database is not updated.
The alert log of the standby database shows that the archive logs files are applied to the standby. However, the applied column in the standby database's V$Archived_log shows as "NO".
