Symptoms

A target database is being registered into a newly created catalog database running within ORACLE_HOME 12.2 which has no further patches installed.  I.e., no PSUs

RMAN> register database;

RMAN-10014: PL/SQL error 0 on line 2620 column 18: Statement ignored
RMAN-10014: PL/SQL error 306 on line 2620 column 18: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'CHECKDATAFILEFORSTANDBY'
