Symptoms
Database report ASYNC_OFF in v$iostat_file, when asm has asm_diskstring set to 'ORCL:*'
When asm_diskstring is set to '/dev/oracleasm/disks/*' in ASM instance, database instance report ASYNCH_IO with ASYNC_ON
