(Doc ID 2707455.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.0.1 and laterOracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Goal
The default value of parallel_max_servers/parallel_min_servers is adjusted on Solaris platform.
Database Reference document says the following:
PARALLEL_MIN_SERVERS
Default value: CPU_COUNT * PARALLEL_THREADS_PER_CPU * 2
PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS
Default value: PARALLEL_THREADS_PER_CPU * CPU_COUNT * concurrent_parallel_users * 5
Default value: CPU_COUNT * PARALLEL_THREADS_PER_CPU * 2
PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS
Default value: PARALLEL_THREADS_PER_CPU * CPU_COUNT * concurrent_parallel_users * 5
But on Solaris platform, the default value is adjusted and is not same as Database Reference document.
