DBFS Uses Excessive Memory Even After Installing Patch 26073585 (Doc ID 2718341.1)

Symptoms

dbfs_client uses excessive RSS memory (often times in excess of 20Gb) when the -wallet feature is utilized. This is true both before and after installing the fix for bug 26073585 that implements the liboramalloc feature.   

NOTE:  This issue can impact versions less than 21.1.

To verify the issue, run the following over a period of several hours (or days depending on the rate of growth):


Verify the RSS memory is increasing with little or no shrinking.
