The Last_Update Timestamps Of Index Statistics For The Same Table Are Different Among Instances In Group Replication/Innodb Cluster (Doc ID 2719433.1)

Symptoms

A given query may have different execution plans on the instances in a Group Replication/Innodb Cluster. When checking the mysql.innodb_table_stats and mysql.innodb_index_stats tables, the last_update column of index statistics for the same table varies among group members.

For example:

Run the query on each instance in a GR/IC with 3 members:

The last_update timestamp varies:

Instance 1: 2020-08-05 09:24:53
Instance 2: 2020-09-17 08:01:04
Instance 3: 2020-09-24 16:30:33
