Symptoms

Executing a query in a view in Oracle Database which points to a non-Oracle database via database link

Receiving below error -

Error: ORA-07445 [homsgot_get_operand_types()+876] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x2B3F83C] [SI_KERNEL(general_protection)]
Error Stack:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [homsgot_get_operand_types()+876] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x0] [PC:0x2B3F83C] [SI_KERNEL(general_protection)] []


The error can happen even after apply Patch for one of the bugs :  30001105 or 31328545 or 31440421
