Symptoms

After modifying /usr/share/cmf/bin/gen_tgt.sh to resolve a problem, bdacheckcluster and bdachecksw raise errors like below on the host(s) where the modification was made:
From bdacheckcluster:
ERROR: Software checks failing on host <HOSTNAMEX>
ERROR: Big Data Appliance failed cluster health checks
ERROR: Big Data Appliance failed cluster health checks
From bdachecksw on the affected host:
ERROR: Required package cloudera-manager-daemons is not valid : S.5....T. /usr/share/cmf/bin/gen_tgt.sh
ERROR: Big Data Appliance failed software validation checks
ERROR: Big Data Appliance failed software validation checks
