Purpose
Purpose of this reference document is to explain a diagnostic method available from 19C (Pretend Match control) to troubleshoot SQL Plan Management Baseline plan reproducibility issues. This would help to identify why the plan baseline is not reproduced. It could be due to the captured outline hints in the SMB that are not reproducing or due to few hints that are not captured to outline data of SMB causing plan reproduction failure or due to some bugs.
Scope
This is limited to DBAs & Application Developers involved in SQL tuning.
