Application team reported slowness in the production database after it has been upgraded/migrated from 10.2.0.3 to 220.127.116.11.
All the Jobs are taking more time to complete as compared to older version (11g) of the database.
The application job used to take 2 minutes under Solaris 10 and Oracle 10g but it now takes about 20 minutes to create same data files from the application where the data is written and later on the file is zipped.
AWR reports indicated that all the SQLs are running with same timing or faster in 18.104.22.168 compared to 10.2.0.3.
1. OS was upgraded from Solaris 10 to Solaris 11.
2. Veritas File System (VxFS) is used for the database files and the related software has been upgraded to 7.1.
3. Database version was changed from 10.2.0.3 to 22.214.171.124.
4. Some of the slower application jobs use Pro*C application. There was no change in the application code.
