(Doc ID 2769175.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle SQL Connector for Hadoop Distributed File System - Version 5.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Oracle Shell for Hadoop Loaders requires a Hadoop and Hive client installed at the location where OHSH jobs are submitted. We recommend running OHSH on a Hadoop edge node, or a Hadoop node. If OHSH is run on the Database, it requires a Hadoop and Hive client on the OS platform of the database system. The main goal of this document is to help those who want to use a database node instead of a Hadoop edge node to run OHSH.
In addition, Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS requires a Hadoop client install on each database node. The steps in this document cover this requirement as well.
