Symptoms

Managed recovery is not progressing on standby with below errors in the standby alert log

ORA-00338: log 9 of thread 1 is more recent than control file
ORA-00312: online log 9 thread 1: '+FRA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_9.258.1022593711'
ORA-00338: log 9 of thread 1 is more recent than control file
ORA-00312: online log 9 thread 1: '+DATA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_9.464.1022593701'

ORA-00338: log 14 of thread 2 is more recent than control file
ORA-00312: online log 14 thread 2: '+FRA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_14.271.1022593439'
ORA-00338: log 14 of thread 2 is more recent than control file
ORA-00312: online log 14 thread 2: '+DATA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_14.477.1022593429'

And

ORA-19527: physical standby redo log must be renamed
ORA-00312: online log 15 thread 2: '+DATA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_15.476.1022593445'

ORA-19527: physical standby redo log must be renamed
ORA-00312: online log 16 thread 2: '+DATA/<DBUniqueName>/ONLINELOG/group_16.475.1022593465'

V$standby_log shows that Groups 9 and 14 are in ACTIVE status:

Changes

 Recovered standby database and recreated standby controlfile from primary. While starting Managed recovery on standby, recovery is not progressing
