Excessive XML files for auditing in 21c Database; Traditional / Standard Auditing not working correctly (Doc ID 2785813.1)

Symptoms

Using Oracle Enterprise Edition version 21.1 version, you may find that Standard / Traditional Auditing is not working correctly, such as excessive XML files generated if AUDIT_TRAIL is set to XML,EXTENDED.

So the following Traditional Auditing parameters were set:


When testing the Audit trail, you may find excessive XML files.


Changes

 This may have been an upgrade to 21c from 19c (or older) or a new install of 21c where Traditional Auditing has always been used.
