This document describes how to compare table data among different storage engines. MySQL Server has the command to calculate a checksum of table data; CHECKSUM TABLE. However, CHECKSUM TABLE produces checksum values based on physical data in tables. This causes different checksum values among different storage engines, or different versions. This document describes how to calculate storage engine or version independent table checksum values.
