Standby Database Redo Transport Error ORA-1017 (Doc ID 2827259.1)

Symptoms

 In Data Guard Configuration, Primary database is not able to ship logs to Standby database and report the error ORA-01033 in the alert.log as below:

 

Changes

 Password file is located in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs  and its a single node managed by SRVCTL on both primary and standby.
 The cksum command results for password file is the same on Primary and Standby database.
  Password file was recreated and copied over to standby but issue still persist, Also, connection from sqlplus reported invalid username password.
