INSERT Into GTT After Upgrade To 19c from 12.2 Slower (Doc ID 2854674.1)

Symptoms

Performance of an insert of millions of rows into a GTT (Global Temporary Table) slow after upgrade from 12.2 to 19.11.

As the number of rows increase to 5 million or higher the execution time almost doubles after upgrade.

This was tested on 19.3, 19.11, 19.13, and 19.14 all tests showed that the execution time was slower especially as the number of rows inserted grew higher.

 Upgrade from 12.2.0.1 to 19.11
